The story of Lunam began when two friends met and fell in love with each other over their shared values and passion for taking care of our planet. They had created an eco-friendly online store, which they referred to as the "Green Amazon," where they curated and sold sustainable products.
One day, as they were discussing the categories to focus on, the topic of period products and period wellness came up. This sparked a new passion within them. Sara, one of the founders, had two beautiful daughters who were nearing the age of starting their menstrual cycles. This personal connection made them realize how inadequate the market was for safe, effective menstrual products.
Around this time, Ale, the other co-founder, was traveling in a beautiful country renowned for its natural materials. Inspired by the local resources and driven by their commitment to eco-friendly solutions, they began extensive research. After months of prototyping and perfecting, they created the softest, most comfortable panties designed specifically for menstrual care, which also work perfectly for urinary incontinence.
Thus, Lunam emerged with a vision: to offer toxic-free, eco-friendly alternatives to traditional menstrual products, blending comfort, safety, and sustainability. More than just a business, it embodies a mission to transform menstrual care and foster a healthier, more environmentally conscious world. Lunam strives to reconnect women with their innate lunar rhythms, empowering them through their cyclical bodies and promoting a harmonious relationship with the natural world.
