Our selection process for fabrics ensures we use only non-toxic materials that benefit both our customers and the planet. Each piece of our eco-friendly period products is created from carefully chosen materials that meet OEKO-TEX® standards, verifying they are free of harmful chemicals.
What is OEKO-TEX®?
OEKO-TEX® standard is a label that certifies that every component of the product, from the fabric to the thread and accessories, has been rigorously tested against a list of up to 350 toxic chemicals.
Our Fabrics are all OEKO-TEX® approved:
- Tencel™ is a natural, sustainable fiber derived from ethically managed forestry. The closed-loop process used to produce Tencel™ conserves water and energy, producing a biodegradable, leak-proof material ideal for period underwear. Unlike traditional synthetic fibers, Tencel™ also resists bacterial growth and odor, enhancing period wellness. To learn more, click here.
- Bamboo grows rapidly and doesn’t require fertilizers, making it a highly sustainable choice. We source bamboo from suppliers who grow it under ethical practices, contributing to our commitment to sustainable period products.
- Organic Cotton used in our products is grown without toxic pesticides or insecticides, from non-GMO seeds. The natural farming practices help increase biodiversity and reduce water consumption, offering a safe, skin-friendly, and eco-friendly option in our non-toxic, sustainable underwear.
- Toxic-free polyester in our products is a durable, versatile material specifically chosen for its absorbency, perfect for leak-proof underwear. The OEKO-TEX® certified polyester we use is entirely free of toxic chemicals, ensuring both high performance and safety for period wellness.
Additionally, we’re proud to share that our products are tested and free from PFAs (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances), ensuring that our leak-proof underwear is safe, non-toxic, and meets high sustainability standards.
